Eh. We figured, everyone else is having babies, we might as well too! Just kidding. :)
Actually, this spectacular event fits right into our original "Five Years Out" plan. When Jon and I were first married, the inevitable question popped up everywhere: "When are you two planning to have kids?" We'd look at each other and shrug. Then, we generally told people, "Kids are about 5 years out from now."
As it turns out, we weren't kidding. Here we are, five years later and the time is right. Ahhh. We are all...grown up and stuff.
On a more serious note, I am filled with happiness and anticipation. I can't wait for the joys and craziness in having children of our own. Holding our very own newborn baby will be pretty rad. Yeah, I just said "rad". I think Jon is going to make the most amazing father. Also, corny as I sound, I am truly looking forward to be a mom. :)

What - One baby (Sorry, Mom. No twins)
When - Baby is due November 21st (Jon's birthday is in November also)
Gender - Yes we WILL be finding out the sex. :) We will be extremely happy with either gender. I won't lie though, it would be very nice to eventually have at least one boy and one girl. :)

About the announcement:
I'll admit I wrote the words, but the true brains and creativity lies with Jon for our announcement. We wanted a way that might make people laugh, but would get the point across. Jon suggested a "movie poster".
Alas, our announcement was born.
My patient mom took our photo and we went to work with Photoshop. Jon took care of all the fancy-schmancy computer stuff and I helpfully said things like, "Oh that's pretty fancy-schmancy."
That's all I have to say at the moment.
